What payment methods do you accept?

We currently accept Cash, Cheque, EFT/Direct Deposit.

Do your coaches have toilets?

In order to maximise passenger seating capacity we have chosen not to install toilets on our coaches. If your group requires a comfort stop, please advise at time of booking and this can certainly be accommodated at a convenient place.

We have a lot of suitcases, do I need a trailer?

All our coaches are equipped with generous under coach luggage bins that will adequately fit suitcases, golf bags, surfboards, eskies, and many other items. Our 29 seat minibus is ideal for a smaller group and if extra luggage is required on this vehicle we have a fully enclosed box trailer that is available on request. Any large items e.g. Surfboards, Bicycles, Golf Bags, etc. should be advised at time of booking and heavy items(Please note t&c’s regarding carriage of overweight items)

I have passengers with mobility issues, will this be a problem?

Our drivers are always willing to assist passengers with difficulty boarding coach and an extra external step can be provided upon request to further aid boarding. Our coaches are equipped with comfort seating and wheelchairs and walking aids can be easily placed and retrieved from under coach luggage bins if required.

Can our group eat and drink on the coach?

In an effort to maintain a high standard of cleanliness and hygiene on our vehicles we do not normally allow the consumption of food or beverages on charters other than bottled water. We can carry eskies with food and drink underneath coach however the consumption/carriage of alcohol is not permitted by passengers on coach at any time. (Please also note our t&c’s regarding transport of persons affected by alcohol). Please do not hesitate to ask our staff about a morning tea/meal stop en route to your destination and we may be able to suggest a timely and pleasant park/rest stop for your passengers to stretch their legs. We can also, with prior arrangement provide a delicious morning tea for your group with hot water urn for tea/coffee at a modest cost. (Urn subject to availability on coach)

I want to show my group a DVD en route, can I do this?

Yes all our coaches are equipped with DVD/PA (driver only) systems. Please note however due to the delicate nature of the equipment on the vehicles we cannot provide absolute guarantee of DVD provision nor that non genuine/copied DVDs will play successfully.

We have children travelling on coach, what do we do about child seats?

Children travelling on coaches can be provided for with lap sash seatbelts on all seats. We can, on request provide booster seats for a small additional charge (subject to availability) however these are not a requirement by law. Should a parent request to provide their own seat, this is acceptable with prior notice given but no guarantee can be given that seat will fit as required nor that driver will have knowledge of correct fitting procedure. Ultimately, allowance/use of personal child restraint will be at driver’s discretion.

Can we hire just a coach, one of our group can drive it for us?

No, we do not offer the option of ‘Dry Hire’ for any of our vehicles. All our charter coaches are driven by experienced, fully accredited and licenced QLD Coach Drivers. If your group is on a fixed budget please don’t hesitate to let our staff know and we may be able to suggest options to reduce charter cost.

When do I need to pay a deposit?

For charters (non-account customers) a $100 non-refundable deposit is required to secure the booking and this will be advised on your booking confirmation. Balance of payment is required no later than 14 days prior to charter date.

As we do not want to have to pass on more charges to booking than necessary, at present we do not have the facility to accept Credit Card/Direct Debit payments.

Please note all payments are required in $AUD and we do not include/pay any commissions.

What cancellation charges might apply if I need to cancel/change my booking?

We understand things can change quickly nowadays and sometimes unexpected things come up…. If changes are required to your booking please contact the office ASAP to advise of these, but please bear in mind that increase to cost of charter will apply if change of details requires extra time, distance, larger coach or arrangement of extra services and any changes are subject to availability. Should you require to cancel your booking, please contact the office ASAP and let us know, we can always suggest an alternative date should the arrangements need to be postponed. If the booking needs to be cancelled altogether, Cancella@on of bookings, however advised, must be acknowledged by the company confirming the cancellation. Wests National Coaches accepts no responsibility for cancellations that are not conArmed by a staff member.

Charges are as follows: Cancelled more than 14 business days prior to date of charter: No Charge (Less the non refundable deposit) Charters cancelled 48hrs – 14 business days prior to date of charter: 50% of charter cost Less than 48 hrs prior to charter: No Refund

I believe I may have left something on the coach, what do I do?

If you believe you may have left any personal property on one of our coaches, please contact the office ASAP, and we will advise if the item has been located. Please understand that the longer time passes, the less chance of locating your property so please ring us straight away. All our drivers clean and check their coaches at the end of every day however coaches may carry out several charters in any given day and particularly small items eg mobile phones and USB sticks can be difficult to locate even with thorough searching. We take care with any property found, and will make attempt to locate the owner. If unable, property located on coaches will be held for approximately 3 months after which time it will be disposed of at the company’s discretion. Please note, Wests National Coaches cannot be held responsible for property left on coaches, it is up to individuals to ensure all items are removed upon departure and we accept no responsibility for loss/damage to personal property while travelling on coach. Where do I meet the coach at the airport?

Brisbane Domestic Airport– Take Skywalk from Terminal and follow signage to Bus/Coach pick up zone Brisbane International Airport- Follow signage from Terminal to Bus/Coach Pick up area at southern end of Terminal Building.

Sunshine Coast Airport– Follow signage from Terminal to Bus/Coach Pick up area at
